That’s why today, I will share how I build my own list and how you can too.

I thought of creating a book about it. And believe it or not, that process has just started and it is called ‘Marketing Tutor' … I have discovered though, that many just download an item and leave it to rot away in their hard drives. However, what we are about to create will be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in respect to any type of online marketing.

Having a list is always beneficial, even if that list is small … And since I really want you to know this and implement it, I’m going to drop it right here …

I’ll try and make it as concise as possible.

My List Building Method 1: Product Launches

This is my number 1 list building method, and there’s a reason.
It’s the best way to get the highest quality of subscribers.

Most probably, you are on my list because you either purchased one of my products OR you joined a list because of a free or reduced offer.

The good thing about getting a list through product launches is that you get serious people into the list, instead of just freebie seekers… (even freebie seekers are buyers eventually) … people who will be serious enough to pay for your products.

Now You’re Likely Asking …

How can I create and launch my own products so I can get a quality list from there?

Well, don’t worry; I’ll take my time and share that with you on another occasion.

My List Building Method 2: Riding On The Shoulders Of Giants

This method is also highly effective and easy; it also gets you high-quality subscribers.

To do this, you first need to find someone who shares the same market as you, and who may already has a number of subscribers. (the numbers do NOT matter)

Then, create a solid product (maybe a powerful case study, a tutorial, a template or even software) that their subscribers will love and even pay for.

Then, approach the potential partner and discuss with them that you have a quality gift which you’d want them to share with subscribers please (a please goes a long way and shows your integrity and manner).

Of course, they will be happy (not always), because it’s a way to create even more value for their subscribers (believe it or not, this is the greatest fear of most marketers and companies … maintaining value over time). BUT, make sure you have a quality product and that it is VERY relevant to his or her audience

Now, if they email their list about the gift, they will visit your offer and opt-in to get the gift or even make a purchase at reduced prices.

In the end, the partner is happy, subscribers are happy, and you will be happy too, having gotten new subscribers to your list.

My List Building Method 3: Leveraging Forums

We were doing this in the beginning, but have stepped down from it, as it takes a lot of time. But it sure works. In this method, you visit forums, social media groups and blogs where your target market converges and are active.

Become active there yourself, and give valuable contributions to discussions free of charge, especially as it pertains to your offer or service. In the end, you should be able to append the link to your opt-in page where they can get more information.

If you’ve been giving valuable contributions, then many will want to opt-in to get extra information or guidance. As I mentioned above, I do less of this these days, as it takes up a lot of time. But for someone on a low budget, it works very well indeed.

By the way, this method tends to work long term, as your contributions and links will remain on the forum, group or blog for many years, bringing in steady leads, maybe not many, but every lead at low budget costs is a massive bonus to your internet marketing business

My List Building Method 4:
Paid Ads

I do not use this often but it brings leads fast. But it costs a bucket of money too. You know what it’s about … paying Facebook and Google and a host of other platforms to send traffic to your opt-in page.

The subject of paid advertising is huge and can’t be covered in this email. So, I’ll leave it for another day.

These were people i’d had on a previous summit or connected with through various networking groups. This was super important for those first few yes responses, and all it takes a bit of planning and perseverance. Note: you don’t have to be well-established or have relationships with influencers to host a successful virtual summit. Of course it helps, but with good summit idea and pitch you can go a long way (many of my vsm students had no relationships with influencers before they started and they did extremely well).
